Gemini Homecare was set up to do domiciliary care properly in one part of the country, rather than adequately across a franchise map.
Why we exist
The problem we are answering
Most complaints about homecare come down to the same few things: carers arriving at unpredictable times, a different face every visit, and nobody senior who actually knows the person. Those are not accidents. They are what happens when a provider takes on more packages than it can staff.
We have built the opposite into how we operate. We accept work only where we can staff and supervise it, we plan rounds in tight geographic clusters, and our Registered Manager assesses every package herself.
What we are
The organisation
Gemini Homecare Ltd is directed by two directors who hold responsibility for strategy, finance and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day operations and all regulated activity sit with the Registered Manager, who is a UK-registered nurse in active clinical practice.
Our care workers are employed directly. We do not use agency staff to cover packages, because continuity is the thing we are selling and agency cover destroys it.

Dignity and respect
People are supported in the way they want to be supported. Privacy, preference and choice are not extras.
Independence
The point of good care is that someone keeps doing what they can, for as long as they can. We support, we do not take over.
Honesty
We say what we can and cannot do. If we get something wrong we tell you, apologise and put it right.
Continuity
The same small team wherever we can manage it. Familiar faces are not a luxury, they are what makes care work.
Equality
We work with people of every background, culture and belief, and we expect our staff to be treated the same way.
