Recruitment

How we choose people

We recruit on values first. Care experience is welcome but it is not the deciding factor — reliability, kindness and willingness to learn are.

Every member of staff has an Enhanced DBS check completed before they begin any duties, a Right to Work check, and two verified references. All recruitment decisions are authorised by the Registered Manager.

Supervision

How they are supported

Formal supervision happens at least quarterly, with an annual appraisal and ongoing competency assessments and spot checks. Training compliance is tracked on a staff training matrix held by the Registered Manager.

Care duties are only allocated once competence has been confirmed. Nobody is sent to a task they have not been trained and assessed for.
