Privacy notice
What we do with the information you give us through this website.
Who we are
Gemini Homecare Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. We provide domiciliary care in Cirencester, the Cotswold District and Swindon.
Our registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office is being completed. The registration number will be published here once it is issued.
What this notice does not cover
This notice covers the website only. If you receive care from us, the records about your care are held separately in our care management system, and you will be given a separate privacy notice covering them. Care records are never stored on this website.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into a form. Depending on the form, that is:
- Your name
- A phone number or email address
- Anything you choose to write in the message box
- For referrals: your team or organisation, the area, and the type of support needed
- For job applications: the area you can work in and whether you drive
We ask professionals making referrals not to include identifying details about the person being referred. If you do include them, we will move that information into our secure care system and delete it from the enquiry record.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange care — our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely responding to someone who has contacted us
- To assess a referral and confirm whether we have capacity — legitimate interests
- To consider a job application — legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to care: 12 months
- Enquiries that lead to care: transferred to your care record and kept under our care records retention schedule
- Referrals that we decline: 12 months
- Unsuccessful job applications: 6 months, then deleted
Who sees it
Enquiries go to the Registered Manager and the Care Coordinator. Our website host and email provider process the data on our behalf under contract, and are not permitted to use it for anything else.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to ask us to restrict its use. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details on our contact page.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
