Medication support

Prompting, assisting or administering medication, depending on what is needed.

A carer helping a couple with medication at the kitchen table.

What this includes

  • Prompting and reminding at the right times
  • Assisting where someone needs a hand
  • Administering where the carer is trained and assessed as competent
  • MAR charts completed at every visit
  • Clinical oversight from our nurse Registered Manager

Who this suits

People managing several medicines, or anyone who has been missing doses.

How it is planned and reviewed

Our Registered Manager assesses at home before anything starts, and writes the care plan with you. It sets out the visits, the times, the tasks and the cost, and you keep a copy.

We check in during the first week and review formally within six weeks. You do not have to wait for a review to change something — tell us and we will change it.
